More info: Impact was specific to some users who were utilizing presence-related Microsoft Teams certified applications. Final status: We've identified that a recent scheduled service update contained a change intended to optimize presence-related data flow, which was unexpectedly causing impact. We reverted the offending change, and confirmed following a period monitoring the service environment, that impact to end users has been remediated. Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users who were utilizing presence-related Microsoft Teams certified applications, who were served through the affected infrastructure. More info: The problem occurs in the new Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients for devices with Intel media drivers. The impacted functions include the following: - Video (including the use of camera) - Screen sharing Current status: We've identified that a code issue introduced by a recent feature update is responsible for the media crashes in Microsoft Teams meetings. We've developed a code fix to address the issue, which we're deploying to our internal environments for testing and validation. Once we confirm the efficacy of the fix, we'll provide a timeline for deployment to the broader impacted environment. Scope of impact: This issue may impact any user attempting to use media functions in meetings in the new Microsoft Teams on devices with Intel drivers.
