Final status: While we were in the process of analyzing the failures, system monitoring indicated that the service had returned to normal health. We've confirmed that the issue is no longer occurring and we'll continue to monitor the service to ensure that the problem doesn't happen again. Scope of impact: Some users in North America and Canada attempting to create or join meetings or live events in any Microsoft Teams app may have been impacted. Start time: Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM UTC End time: Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 4:01 PM UTC Root cause: An unexpected increase in create and join request traffic caused some requests to fail and resulted in the impact. Next steps: - We're continuing our analysis of the requests during the impact window to determine what caused the increase in traffic so we can ensure our infrastructure is adequately bolstered to manage future traffic patterns and prevent this issue from reoccurring.
