Title: Users may be unable to view contents of the Files tab in newly created Teams channels in the desktop client

User impact: Users may be unable to view contents of the Files tab in newly created Teams channels in the desktop client.

More info: Impact may also occur within Teams on the web, and any file viewing requests reliant on the API leveraged for viewing files through Teams may fail.

Current status: We're progressing with testing the fix with a subset of affected users. Once completed, we'll start the deployment to all affected environments.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to view contents of the Files tab in newly created Teams channels in the desktop client may be impacted.

Root cause: A language configuration issue introduced by a recent change on the service side is resulting in impact to an API leveraged for serving files through Teams.

Title: Users may encounter delays or intermittent failures with the Walkie Talkie feature in the Teams mobile app
User impact: Users may encounter delays or intermittent failures with the Walkie Talkie feature in the Teams mobile app.
Current status: Our monitoring has identified an increase in delays or intermittent failures of the Walkie Talkie feature in the Teams mobile apps. We've analyzed recent app updates and determined that a recent update contains a code regression, resulting in impact. We've developed a fix and are in the process of validating it before release. We expect to have a deployment timeline by the next scheduled update.
Scope of impact: Any user interacting with the Walkie Talkie feature in the Teams mobile apps may be intermittently impacted.
Start time: Friday, April 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM UTC

Users may be shown the same meeting room repeatedly when selecting 'Add Location' to a Teams meeting
Service Degradation

More info: Users may be shown repeated meeting rooms when selecting 'Add Location' to a Teams meeting from the Teams calendar, even when the provided room is outside the building room list.
Users are able to schedule meetings in the correct meeting room using the Outlook calendar while the service provider works to resolve this issue.
Current status: The service provider has identified that changes within a recent regularly scheduled service update are resulting in impact. They've developed and begun deploying a fix to the affected service environment, and anticipate a portion of affected users may be fully remediated by their next update. In the interim, they're continuing with analysis of the impacting update to identify potential options to expedite remediation.
Scope of impact: Any user may be shown the same meeting room repeatedly when selecting 'Add Location' to a Teams meeting.

Some users without a Premium license may not have the option to use eCDN for town hall meetings in Teams

More info: Some organizations who have the Enterprise Content Delivery Network (eCDN) field updated with a third party eCDN in the 'Live events settings" page may experience this issue during the town hall when non-Premium users schedule a town hall.
Current status: The service provider is analyzing service telemetry as well as call IDs from a subset of affected users to help determine the next steps.

Users accessing Teams from the Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) 2 experience service quality issues
Service Restored

Final status: The service provider has confirmed that the fix has been fully deployed, and impact has been remediated after a period of monitoring service health.
Scope of impact: Impact was specific to users served through the affected infrastructure, attempting to utilize the Teams desktop client using Citrix VDI 2 after the virtual machine wakes from hibernation.
