TEAMS NOTICE Users may have been unable to share new files or view previously shared files within Teams Service Restored More info: - Users attempting to share new files may have received the errors 'Oops, something happened with the editor. Reload'. - Users attempting to view previous Teams Chat/Channel messages that contained a shared file may have received the error 'Error encountered while rendering this message' for that specific message. As a workaround during the issue, users were able to view/access previously uploaded files when accessing from the 'Shared' tab within all Teams clients. Additionally, users were able to upload new files directly into Chats/Channels, or view previously uploaded Files directly from Chats/Channels when using the Teams iOS app. Final status: After reverting the configuration change, the service provider received multiple reports from previously impacted users that the issue is no longer occurring. Additionally, monitoring telemetry shows error rates have fallen to expected levels. Scope of impact: Impact was specific to users who were currently configured on public preview or part of the Technology Adoption Program (TAP). TEAMS NOTICE Users with specific access policy configurations may be unable to retrieve new voicemails in Teams Service Degradation More info: Affected users can still see voicemail notifications appear but can't access them. As a workaround, affected users can use Outlook to access their voicemails. Current status: The service provider has further identified that, due to the previously mentioned latent code issue, authentication checks which occur when users request access to their voicemail in Teams are failing if the presented token, which is leveraged to facilitate authentication between users and the service, is invalidated based on conditional access evaluation that occurs as a result of conditional access policies applied to these users; and the authentication processes fails to properly request a new token. They're developing a code fix to ensure the conditional access evaluation process will process and retry tokens correctly as expected. |
