O365 - Teams
2025-04-15 Status Description
01:09 PM Notice TEAMS NOTICE
Users may have been unable to share new files or view previously shared files within Teams
Service Restored

More info:
- Users attempting to share new files may have received the errors 'Oops, something happened with the editor. Reload'.
- Users attempting to view previous Teams Chat/Channel messages that contained a shared file may have received the error 'Error encountered while rendering this message' for that specific message.
As a workaround during the issue, users were able to view/access previously uploaded files when accessing from the 'Shared' tab within all Teams clients.
Additionally, users were able to upload new files directly into Chats/Channels, or view previously uploaded Files directly from Chats/Channels when using the Teams iOS app.
Final status: After reverting the configuration change, the service provider received multiple reports from previously impacted users that the issue is no longer occurring. Additionally, monitoring telemetry shows error rates have fallen to expected levels.
Scope of impact: Impact was specific to users who were currently configured on public preview or part of the Technology Adoption Program (TAP).

Users may be unable to utilize avatar and video filtering features in Teams for Mac
Service Degradation

Current status: As a result of this issue, the service provider has disabled the avatar and video filtering features in Teams for Mac to resolve crashes which were previously occurring for users. They're developing a code fix which they intend to include in their next build update to permanently resolve the crashing issue. Once this code fix has deployed, they'll re-enable the avatar and video filtering features.
09:25 AM Notice TEAMS NOTICE
Users with specific access policy configurations may be unable to retrieve new voicemails in Teams
Service Degradation

More info: Affected users can still see voicemail notifications appear but can't access them. As a workaround, affected users can use Outlook to access their voicemails.
Current status: The service provider has further identified that, due to the previously mentioned latent code issue, authentication checks which occur when users request access to their voicemail in Teams are failing if the presented token, which is leveraged to facilitate authentication between users and the service, is invalidated based on conditional access evaluation that occurs as a result of conditional access policies applied to these users; and the authentication processes fails to properly request a new token. They're developing a code fix to ensure the conditional access evaluation process will process and retry tokens correctly as expected.

Users are experiencing failures when attempting to join channel meetings in Teams
Service Restored

More info: Impact was specific to users on the desktop client or web app that were joining channel meetings from the new calendar experience, or users being nudged into these channel meetings.
Users weren't seeing an error, the action simply failed.
While the service provider was working to remediate impact, affected users could still join channel meetings using the classic Teams calendar, the Teams mobile apps, or by joining the meeting directly through the channel.
Final status: The service provider has confirmed that the fix as completed deployment and validated remediation using service telemetry.
Scope of impact: Your organization was affected by this event, and any user attempting to join Teams channel meetings using the new calendar experience or nudge from the Teams desktop and web clients was impacted.
