Service Restored

Final status: The service provider has completed their restoration process and have recovered all possible email messages impacted by this event. Any email messages not released at this time were confirmed to be truly malicious and not removed from quarantine.
Scope of impact: Your organization was affected by this event, and some users were impacted when receiving messages containing attachments.

Users’ inbound email messages from are quarantined in Exchange Online when they contain attachments
Service Degradation

Current status: The service provider has received feedback from representatives that adding the affected items to the allowed list has not resolved the issue. They're currently reviewing new Network Message IDs (NMIDs) to understand why email messages with attachments are being quarantined. Additionally, they've developed a potential fix to correct a signature issue that is used to detect malware.

Some users' inbound attachment scans may be taking longer than expected to complete in Exchange Online

More info: As some safe attachment scans are getting stuck in a progress state, users' attachments may not be delivered.
Current status: The service provider is reviewing support provided information, alongside service telemetry to determine their next troubleshooting steps.
