02:03 PM Notice Title: Some users may experience various issues with some Microsoft 365 services
User impact: Users may have experienced various issues with some Microsoft 365 services.
More info: This issue impacted the following services and scenarios:
- Some users in the West US region may have been unable to execute data plane operations in Power BI.
- Some users may have been unable to utilize Activity and file policy evaluation, Anomaly detection, or Advanced hunting for Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Users may have also seen stale information in the portal and execution of governance actions for Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Some users may have been unable to utilize Advanced hunting in Microsoft Defender for Identity.
- Admins may have been unable to complete onboarding activities in the Microsoft Defender XDR portal.
- Admins may have been unable to see Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance policy hits in Microsoft Purview.
- Users may have been unable to view recent data in Threat Explorer and Advanced Hunting within Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Users may have seen device enrollment failures in Microsoft Intune.
Final status: We've completed our efforts to restore the remaining infrastructure and further confirmed that the remaining backlogs have been processed. Impact has been remediated for all users.
Scope of impact: This issue may have affect users in the West US region who were attempting to utilize the features outlined in the More info section.

Root cause: A recent power surge within a portion of our Azure infrastructure in the West US region caused services to go temporarily offline.
Next steps:
- We're reviewing options to increase power surge protection in the affected portion of infrastructure to better prevent similar future impact.

User impact: Users may experience various issues with some Microsoft 365 services.
More info: This issue impacts the following services and scenarios:
- Some users in the West US region may be unable to execute data plane operations in Power BI.
- Some users may be unable to utilize Activity and file policy evaluation, Anomaly detection, or Advanced hunting for Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Users may also see stale information in the portal and execution of governance actions for Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Some users may be unable to utilize Advanced hunting in Microsoft Defender for Identity.
Current status: Our monitoring has notified us of an issue in the West US region where some users may experience various impacts to some Microsoft 365 services, which we've outlined in the More info section above. We've confirmed that a recent power surge at a portion of our Azure infrastructure in the West US region caused services to go temporarily offline. Our backup power systems were activated and we've confirmed that power remains stable to handle service activity. We're working to restore connectivity to the impacted services to fully resolve this issue.
