More info: Specifically, users attempting to access Microsoft 365 services that leverage SQL Database may have been impacted. New connections to these databases may have resulted in an error or timeout. Existing connections remained available to accept new requests; however, if those connections were terminated and then re-established, they may have experienced errors. Impacted services included but were not limited to: - SharePoint Online - OneDrive for Business - Microsoft Intune Final status: We've confirmed via our internal monitoring that the issue has been fully resolved following our traffic redirection efforts. Scope of impact: Users located in the Eastern United States may have experienced issues attempting to access various Microsoft 365 services. Users outside of this region would not have experienced impact. Start time: Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:03 PM UTC End time: Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 1:15 AM UTC Preliminary root cause: A subset of infrastructure was operating below optimal thresholds, resulting in users being unable to access some Microsoft 365 services. Next steps: - We're reviewing our infrastructure telemetry to identify the underlying cause of this issue. - We're performing analysis on our troubleshooting steps to determine more expedient methods to resolve similar events in the future. We'll provide a Post-Incident Report within 5 business days. |

Current status: We've identified an issue in which some users may see a decline in their metric scores in the Ransomware protection and Endpoint Security initiatives. Our investigation determined that recent code modifications related to the calculation of scores for Threat Vulnerability Management (TVM) metrics contain a code issue and is preventing metric scores from displaying accurately. We're developing and validating a code fix to resolve the issue and anticipate the deployment may start by our next scheduled update. Scope of impact: Some users attempting to view their metric scores in the Ransomware protection and Endpoint Security initiatives may be impacted.
