Details Title: Guest users without Microsoft Teams licenses can't utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings User Impact: Guest users without Microsoft Teams licenses can't utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings. More info: This impacts external users without Microsoft Teams licenses that attempt to utilize the chat for internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings within the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients. Current status: We've confirmed we'll proceed with developing a code fix for deployment to address this issue. We expect development of the fix to be complete by our next scheduled communication, after which the fix will undergo testing and validation before proceeding with deployment to the affected environment. Given the nature of the fix and the associated changes required to resolve the issue, we expect that the solution may take an extended period of time to be deployed. Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and external users without Microsoft Teams licenses attempting to utilize the chat within internally hosted Microsoft Teams meetings are impacted. Root cause: A code change that interacts with user license checks introduced an issue that prevents external users without a license from accessing internally hosted Microsoft Teams meeting chats. Details Title: Users can't call Microsoft Teams auto attendants via Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or Skype for Business User Impact: Users can't call Microsoft Teams auto attendants via PSTN or Skype for Business. Current status: We've investigated a problem with the Microsoft Teams service in which users couldn't call auto attendants via Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) calling or Skype for Business, and we’ve confirmed that service is now restored. We'll provide additional information in a closure summary within the “History” section of the “Service health” dashboard shortly. Scope of impact: This issue affected any user attempting to call Microsoft Teams auto attendants via PSTN or Skype for Business.

More info: As a result of this issue, users can't chat with blocked users. Current status: We're continuing our review of implementing this feature to the Microsoft Teams client. Due to the scope of changes required we expect this review to take several weeks. Scope of impact: This issue may impact any users migrated from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams attempting to unblock other internal users. Details Title: Some users are intermittently dropped from meetings when using the Microsoft Teams desktop client User Impact: Users are intermittently dropped from meetings when using the Microsoft Teams desktop client. More info: This issue is primarily affecting MacOS users; however, a small percentage of Windows users may also see this problem. Users who can join the meetings through the Microsoft Teams web or mobile apps can do so to avoid impact. Current status: We've confirmed that the deployment of the fix for the affected Windows users has begun and currently stands at 20 percent saturation. We also anticipate its completion by the next scheduled update. Scope of impact: A subset of MacOS users and potentially some Windows users are intermittently dropped from Microsoft Teams meetings when using the desktop client. Start time: Friday, August 19, 2022, at 9:44 AM UTC Estimated time to resolve: We estimate the remaining impact to Windows users should be resolved by our next update. Root cause: A recent update to improve client rendering and telemetry handling introduced a Join button meeting code issue, resulting in conflicting commands and ultimately dropping users from meetings. Current status: We've responded to reports of an issue where users may be unable to unblock internal users, which is preventing users from chatting with those blocked users. We're analyzing system data from affected users in parallel with reviewing recent system changes to determine if any of them may be contributing to impact.
