STUDLEY CAMPUS POWER OUTAGE: KILLAM LIBRARY, CHEMISTRY, HOWE HALL, LMP, DUNN; MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 07:00 - 16:00. Facilities Management advises that there will be a planned power outage affecting Upper Studley Campus on Monday, August 24th, 2020. This is to perform an urgent repair on one of the main feeds for the Killam Library. Unfortunately this will also affect Chemistry, Chemistry Storage, Howe Hall , LMP and the Dunn Bldg. FM has determined that the following date and time will enable the servicing and cause the least disruption to campus activities while completing this necessary repair: Monday, August 24th, 2020 from 7am-4pm - Chemistry, Chemistry Storage, Howe Hall, LMP – 7-4; Monday, August 24th, 2020 from 8am-1pm – Sir James Dunn Building.
The following buildings will be affected as described below. As in past outages, re-routing power from other buildings, or backup generators may be available on a case-by-case basis if you have special emergency power needs. Killam Library - No generator back-up; Killam Data Centre - Full generator back-up; Howe Hall – Full generator back-up; LeMarchant Place (LMP)- Full generator back-up; Chemistry - No generator back-up; Chemistry Storage – Back up power for essential services only; Dunn Building – No generator back-up; Please note that due to fume hoods not having back-up power, there will be no entry to the Chemistry Building until there has been an air clearance test performed, after the power has been reinstated. If you do not see your building in this list, you will not be affected.
